She is a seasoned instructional coach with more than a decade's worth of coaching and classroom experiences. Angela was a former teacher who started the site in 2003, wanted to offer practical suggestions for classrooms and encourage teachers to have optimism to make them feel more comfortable in the work they do. The website was initially called Ms. Powell's management Ideas for Teachers. In 2008, the website changed its title to The Cornerstone for Teachers in honour of her debut book. Angela's 40-hour Workweek Program is in use by more than 45,000 schools for improving the efficiency of their staff. The program was originally designed for teachers but it was later extended to administrators and instructional coaches. 40 Hour helps teachers become more aware of their own contractual and instructional time so they are able to focus on what is important to them.
