Amy Adams in full Amy Lou Adams (born 20th of August 1974 in Aviano Italy) American actress, most well-known for her critically-acclaimed portrayals of naive and charming characters. Adams was among seven siblings that grew up as a young child in Castle Rock, Colorado. She was born while her father was employed by the U.S. Military in Italy. Adams began performing and dancing professionally at the end of the 90s. She was part of Boulder Dinner Theatre, and later at the Country Dinner Playhouse. Later in Minnesota in a small local theatre, she was a selected to play a role in an unrealized documentary film about beauty pageants called Drop Dead Gorgeous. Her screen debut was a huge success with the role of an unfriendly, but obnoxious contestant, Janet relocating from Minnesota to Los Angeles where she began an acting career professionally. From June 1951 to September 1962, she got married with actor Tony Curtis. She is also the mother of Kelly Curtis & Jamie Lee Curtis. Her film career started in late 1940s after she was accepted by MGM. Her name was noticed by Norma shearer. Over the course of the 1960s, she appeared in a variety of films, such as Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho and Living It Up.
